A pianist holds a unique position in music. In addition to playing in groups and ensembles, a pianist has the ability to perform as a soloist at many different venues and events.

Pianists also play an important role in the accompaniment of vocalists and instrumentalists. The piano has risen to be uniquely universal in its ability to cover many bases.

Brian Nelson offers instruction in piano, covering classical, jazz, rock/pop, music theory and keyboard technology. He is an actively working jazz musician, studio musician, composer, arranger and accompanist who is passionate about music education and passing on the craft.

His method of instruction is wide in scope, and includes programs authored by the Berklee College of Music, known for their contemporary music curriculum and comprehensive effort in advancing jazz education.
